A Wedding in Redding, CT
This summer we catered a completely magical backyard wedding in Redding, CT. At Capers, traveling to cater events has become something that we all enjoy. We meet new and terrific vendors, and see parts of New England that are not as familiar to us.
KD&J Bontanica created the design of the wedding. We were so impressed with their eye for detail and professionalism.
KD&J was on site for days working to create a magical backdrop.
Eliza Cowan was the wedding planner extraordinaire and joined us in Connecticut from the Boston area.
The tent was filled with flowers and branches that brought the outdoors into the Greenwich Tent Company’s sailcloth tent.

After the ceremony the guests were able to enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, a festive raw bar, and a very unique carved to order Iberico ham station. Please see our Instagram account for a picture of the ham.

The guests filtered in slowly for dinner. It was the most pleasant, sunny summer evening. Such a beautiful photo of the couple.
Guests enjoyed a plated first course of Chilled Summer Corn Soup topped with Lobster Salad, and a family style seated dinner of Local Sea Bass with a Basil Drizzle, Herb Rubbed Picanah Steak with Chimichurri, Warm Fingerling Potato Salad, Roasted Rainbow Carrots & Summer Beans, Heirloom Tomato, Watermelon, and Feta Salad with Pickled Onion and Thai Basil. After dinner they danced the evening away!
