One of 2019's hottest food trends arrived in Boston at a recent event catered by Capers.
From hanging flatbreads to poké bowls, doughnut walls to cronuts, we love watching guests’ eyes light up
when they see the latest food trend unveiled at a bar mitzvah, wedding, or corporate event. Here at Capers, we are always looking to put our own spin on fresh, fun ideas. Following the legalization of cannabis in Massachusetts, we’ve been asked more than once to participate in one of the nation’s hottest trends: CBD-infused foods. CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is the popular THC-free extract of cannabis—meaning it doesn't cause psychoactive side effects—yet offers medical benefits from easing inflammation to lowering anxiety.

With the recent legalization of cannabis in Massachusetts, we’ve taken an interest in one of the nation’s hottest food trends: CBD. CBD, short for cannabidiol, is extracted from cannabis and has medical benefits like easing
inflammation and lowering anxiety. It does not contain THC, so it does not have the psychoactive side effects
typically associated with cannabis. CBD is expected to become one of the most popular ingredients in 2019.
Last month, our team at Capers collaborated with a handful of creative vendors to wow guests at a corporate event with CBD snacks and signature Capers treats. These stations were decorated beautifully to highlight salty snacks, including Dabritos and assorted flavors of popcorn.
To top it off, we also featured our hot cider station–a winter staple. Guests had the option of adding a splash of rum to their cider. Later, guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres and themed food stations featuring Poké bowls, Banh Mi, and Street food.
