In the spirit of Halloween, we wanted to explore past weddings we’ve catered that have pulled bits and pieces of the ghoulish holiday into their events.
From the menu to the decor and even the fashion, Halloween has been incorporated into some of our weddings.
Here is a wedding we catered a few years ago with the talented Tamar Salter Frieze:
The ceremony was on site and officiated by a good friend of the bride and groom’s dressed as Abraham Lincoln.
Every guest showed up in head to toe costume to celebrate. The wedding was complete with a 25 foot Incredible Hulk on the dance floor, a candy buffet complete with trick or treat baggies and fun hors d’oeuvres on platters decorated with mini pumpkins and dry ice to create fog.
More recently, we catered a wedding in the very suiting House of Seven Gables in Salem, MA.
The wedding was planned by the very talented Alexis, from Unique Weddings by Alexis.
The tent was draped in beautiful black sheer fabric, the kids table had build your own haunted houses, the bride wore black and the menu was full of seasonal favorites
Lastly, if we remember Halloween weekend last year, we had an outdoor ceremony at The deCordova Museum and Sculpture Park that ended up being tented due to the SNOWSTORM we got!
It was so romantic with paper lanterns hanging, and the heaters kept the tent nice and toasty.
Bridget and TJ created trick or treat bags as favors for each guest filled with fun Halloween candy and paper airplanes.
These memorable weddings were both fun to plan and attend and meant something special for the brides and grooms who had a special love for Halloween!
Would you plan a Halloween or other holiday themed wedding? We love coming up with fun ideas to add to your theme!
