Capers Appreciation Event at Boston Harbor Distillery
For April Fool’s we decided to host an event in honor of our wonderful clients and vendors, that we have the pleasure of working with. Before the big season starts, we thought it would be terrific to bring everyone together to show our appreciation. We enjoyed showcasing our new menu items that we have been creating this past winter. After searching for the perfect venue to host our event, we came across this new hidden gem. The Boston Harbor Distillery recently opened its doors to the public, as well as, private events.
The Boston Harbor Distillery offers the perfect location to those who are in search of a rustic atmosphere in an urban location. We had the pleasure of working with many wonderful vendors at our event, such as Binita Patel Photography, Karla Cassidy, Peterson Party Center, Gordon’s Fine Wines and Liquors and First Class Weddings and Events.
For this even Karla Cassidy offered to showcase her flowers. Karla decided to incorporate the feel of the distillery into her floral displays. Using rustic and wooden details with tulips and natural greens, she brought the distillery to life. Peterson Party Center put many of their new serving items and new linens on display for our guests to see. The music and up-lighting was provided by the talented First Class Weddings and Events.
Recently, we have been thinking of innovative ways to display our new menu items. Executive chef, Kevin Marsland, and our team built a wall and table-top box for stationary hors d’oeuvres. We enjoy showing our clients original ideas that make their events unique and exciting.
In addition to creating new food displays, we have also been developing new food and beverages. Our mission for this event was to incorporate the distillery’s spirits as an ingredient in our foods, specifically their rum and tequila. One of our favorite menus items showcased was the Caribbean Rum Steam Pork Buns with Chimichurri and Pickled Papaya. To compliment these buns we served a Rosemary- Thyme Rum Cocktail, infused with tangerine juice, thyme, rosemary, and kumquats for garnish.
Our appreciation open house was a grand success! We had a wonderful time planning and coordinating with all of our vendors. The guests made for a special evening that Capers will always remember.
