Autumnal Rum Punch
At Capers we are always coming up with new cocktails that will perfectly accompany any gathering. Sous Chef, Adam Favorito and I worked on this new Thanksgiving favorite that we think will become a holiday tradition.
Autumnal Rum Punch ~ serves 8
12 oz. Meyers Dark Rum
12 oz. organic apple cider
8 oz. club soda
Juice of a lemon8 dashes Angostura bitters
sliced apple garnish
frosted thyme garnish
cinnamon stick garnish
1) In a pitcher, mix together rum, apple cider, lemon juice and bitters. Mix to combine.
2) Prepare frosted thyme by dipping thyme stems into beaten egg whites and dipping stems into a plate filled with granulated sugar. Let dry for a 1/2 hour on paper towels.
3) When ready to serve, stir club soda into cider mix, and pour in glasses filled with ice. Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon sticks and frosted thyme stems.
